SURF

The West coast of Sumbawa has over 100 kilometres of west-facing swell potential. West Sumbawa caters to surfers of all abilities. Major surf spots like Scar Reef and Supersuck leave little to the imagination as big swells break for a hundred metres over shallow reef. Surfers will also find super consistent swell magnets at Yoyos and more mellow options at Tropicals and Northern Rights.

YOYO’S THE HOOK

Yoyo’s consists of two distinct waves, the Wedge and the Hook. The Wedge is an exposed reef break that has very consistent surf. The Hook sits further down the reef where it curves into a proper channel. Neither spots handle SE trades or major swells, so glassy mornings at mid tide are best.

The location is picturesque and the rooms simple and cheap … I had some of the best food I’ve eaten so far while traveling here. The dinner and lunch buffet is awesome and something different every night. Loved chilling in the hammocks, playing pool etc…There are not many places in YoYos that are this good and this cheap with such good food options.

Best beachfront location in area. Value for money accommodation, Bintangs and tunes with incredible sunsets. Lots of big old shade trees open to sea breeze to hang a hammock on… Staff are always helpful… Fantastic breakfast with open vistas of entire bay… Every year I go there’s a fresh litter of cute new puppies to play with… Love the location, Love the staff, Love the laid back vibe, Love this place, I can’t stop coming back every year!
